Imagine an East Coast kitchen party, where friends gather to play music, dance, have a laugh (and a few refreshments!) Now imagine the ultimate kitchen party where a special guest musician comes every night. Neptune Theatre is doing just that by bringing the party to your stage with the touring production, The East Coast Kitchen Party.

Every night the audience joins our talented cast of East Coasters: award-winning folk artist Ian Sherwood, PEI’s Celia Koughan, New Brunswicker Karen Lizotte, and singer/songwriter Malia Rogers in the kitchen for a night of song, laughter, sing-along and stories.

The cast is joined by a special guest musician, providing a diverse and talented line-up that is a local music lover’s dream.

Every night your stage will transform into a kitchen and bar as four roommates throw the best kitchen party you’ve ever crashed. Our beautiful set, designed by Andrew Cull, travels with the show, along with a lighting designer/technician and Stage manager.

First created at Neptune Theatre in the Summer of 2018, with guest stars like Heather Rankin, Lennie Gallant, Christina Martin, Charlie A’Court, Christine Campbell, The Mellotones and many more, we are excited to now take this show on the road.

The Grand Theatre in London invited their patrons into the Kitchen Party in the Spring of 2023:

Created by Neptune’s Artistic Director Jeremy Webb and Ian Sherwood, The East Coast Kitchen Party is a two hour, two act show with four performer/musicians on stage. The show is designed to have at least a dozen audience members on stage with the cast; a unique way to enjoy a theatrical experience.

Guest stars can be booked by Neptune Theatre or by the venue. The guest star visits the kitchen for a twenty-minute set in act two. The guest star adds an element of star-power to the show. The show has a handy ‘plug’ of prepared material should no guest star be available.

MEANING: noun: A cèilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering, typically involving folk music, dancing and storytelling. In its most basic form, it simply means a social visit. We call it - something you don’t want to miss.
